June 21st Cruise to Potosi, Wisconsin

Is anyone up for one final cruise?

This Sunday (October 26) I’m hopping in the Shelby and cruising to Sutliff, Iowa for one last trip before I put her to bed for the winter. The weather forecast sounds great.  The trees are in full color.  And, cruising time has about run out for this year.  Sutliff is a small town south of Lisbon, Iowa and is home to The Sutliff Cider Company, and Baxa’s Tavern which is next to the historic Sutliff Cedar River Bridge.  Sutliff is about an hour and a half away via the back roads trek I have planned out going through Walcott, Durant, Bennett, Tipton, and Mechanicsville.  This is the last Sunday for the Sutliff Cider Company to be open this year.  Per their website they typically have cider sampling, food and entertainment on Sundays.  The plan is to stop there first and then decide weather to eat there or move on to Baxa’s Tavern which serves your typical bar foods, burgers and such.  For the curious here are some links:

For those interested we will meet by the big cow at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on this Sunday morning (October 26) at 11 AM.  I hope to leave no later than 11:15.

Just show up, or you can e-mail me with questions at: larzwj1@gmail.com

Hope to see you at 11 on Sunday.
